Congresswoman McCollum's new bill to condition aid to Israel

On Thursday, Congresswoman Betty McCollum introduced a new bill that would ban Israel from using U.S. aid to demolish Palestinian homes, annex Palestinian land and detain Palestinian children. As of today, it has 13 co-sponsors.

I have a new piece up at The Intercept on this important bill, the steep obstacles to getting more Democratic support for it, and the historical context behind efforts to condition U.S. aid to Israel.
